I’m probably not supposed to say this as a resident of Bondi Beach, but: I really love Manly. In fact, I can definitely see it being the next place I live once I’m over Bondi (if that day ever comes!).
The latest on my quest to tackle ALLLLLL the Sydney Harbour walks? The Hermitage Foreshore Track, which runs along the waterfront on the harbour side of Vaucluse.

Last Sunday, I was instructed to meet at Taylor Square in Sydney at 6:30am to be picked up for a Blue Mountains 4WD tracks adventure.
There’s a particularly magical time of year in Sydney, just before the weather takes a turn for the cold, when the city quite literally lights up: Vivid Sydney.
For about three weeks (this year it’s 26 May – 17 June), each night from 6-11pm there are colorful light projections splashed onto various buildings and landmarks around the city, with other vibrant art installations and displays spread throughout the CBD and surrounds.
I originally came across Bouddi National Park on the Central Coast of New South Wales in my perpetual quest to find awesome outdoor adventures that are accessible without a car. Someday I’ll get comfortable driving in Australia… and some year I’ll be able to afford a car.
While I’m on a roll with confessions, let me throw one more atcha:
It took me 21 months in Australia before I finally made it out to the Blue Mountains.
