Annual Recap

Ah, 2020 – the year that needs no introduction.

Suffice it to say that 2020 looked nothing like I’d imagined or planned. It was supposed to be the year I went back to my nomadic roots, traipsing around Australia, traveling to the US for work and family, and gallivanting around Europe again before returning to Sydney and finding a new home for myself.

Annual Recap

Oh boy. 2019 was a bit of a doozy, let me just say.

I had every intention of living a balanced year in which I’d make new friends and strengthen my bonds with my existing friends, go on copious adventures with said friends, do a bit of traveling, do a bit of personal development work, and grow my blog.

Annual Recap

Welp, this year-in-review post looks a bit different from the ones I’ve done the last couple years when I was a nomad.

Annual Recap

2015 was such an incredible year. I spent the entirety of it in Australia, save for a 3-week jaunt to Indonesia. It was a beautiful blend of routine and adventure that saw me settling down anywhere from a few days to a few months at a time, exploring my surroundings and then going on roadtrips and excursions in-between.

Planning

One of the joys of having a travel blog that people other than your mother read, and that pops up pretty high on Google for searches on particular travel adventures, is that soon enough your inbox will be inundated with all sorts of vaguely travel-related emails.

Annual Recap

When I look back at 2014, I think: Man, I worked hard and accomplished a lot.

I’ve long been a preacher in support of living a balanced life. It’s why you’ll never find me staying late at the office or bragging about how I went to the gym 6 out of 7 days last week.

Annual Recap

2013 was a banner year for me in terms of travel. I spent just under half of the year traveling abroad, what with my 5 months in Asia (aka the impetus behind this here blog), brief stint in London, and quick jaunt to Montreal.
